In this industry we always want to strive to enhance our streets and make them safer. In this presentation we will share 4 topics on how we can better achieve those goals. We will discuss the impact of Directed Light, Positive Contrast, & Glare, Mid-block Crossings & Signals, Lidar Detection, and Decorative & Streetscape Lighting. We will dive into each of these topics to show how they play a role in enhancing our streets and making them safer.

Presenter Bio:

Preston is a Civil Engineer at Clark Transportation Solutions where he helps provide innovative lighting and traffic solutions for customers and educates them on the latest technology in the industry. Preston has worked on a wide range city and state lighting & traffic projects, lighting conversions, pathways, updating city pole & lighting standards, streetscapes, and decorative lighting projects. Preston has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Arizona State University. Drawing from the 20+ years of expertise, the Clark Transportation Solutions team seeks to partner with public sector agencies, consultants, and contractors to find the right solutions to transform public spaces and roadways today. Outside of work, Preston enjoys watching sports and spending time with family and friends here in the Phoenix valley.
