Meeting/Event Information

Come join AZITE YP at The Porch in Tempe to hear from the Arizona Commerce Authority and their partners about the DRIVE Arizona Project.

In a remarkable team project, key organizations including the Arizona Commerce Authority, Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT), City of Phoenix, and Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) along with groups like Chicanos Por La Causa are working together on an exciting initiative to improve road safety and efficiency across Arizona using cellular vehicle to everything (C-V2X) technology.

This initiative is supported by companies like Verizon and HDR Engineering, Inc., with academic support from the University of Arizona (UA), and Arizona State University (ASU), and public sector support from entities like Valley Metro, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG). Their goal? To tap into the latest technological advancements to make transportation in the area safer, better connected, and more eco-friendly.

This ambitious effort aims to transform how we think about and use roads in Arizona by leveraging the innovation to benefit the community and the environment alike.
