Please join AZITE at the Tempe Library for another luncheon presentation. Melissa Orlandini will present on Arizona's adoption of the MUTCD and the Arizona MUTCD Supplement.
Presentation Summary:
In December 2023, the 11th Edition of the MUTCD became official, with a two year review period ending in January 2026. During the review period, States work on adopting the new Manual, prepare their own Manual, or prepare a supplement to the new Manual. Arizona currently has its own supplement. In order to address the impacts of the new Manual, ADOT has been compiling comments from government agencies across the state along with practicing Traffic Engineers. These comme
nts have been sorted, reviewed, and compiled for their applicability to the new Supplement by ADOT. After multiple revisions, the Supplement is set to be submitted for FHWA review in early 2025. This presentation will go over key changes in the new manual and how it will be adapted for Arizona use.
