Dear Mountain District Members and Friends,

It’s June!

…and that means it’s time for the 2026 Mountain District Annual Meeting! The Flagstaff Meeting Local Arrangements Committee has been hard at work to bring you all an amazing conference this year. You can find all the annual meeting information here: ITE Mountain District - 2026 ITE MD Annual Meeting Homepage.

A few reminders as you plan your trip to Flagstaff:

  • Pan your daily itinerary using the latest conference agenda here.
  • There are still opportunities to sponsor the Student Leadership Summit. This is a chance to get more involved with the students and talk to them about what our industry is looking for! See the SLS page (https://mountainite.org/2026_Mountain_District_Student_Leadership_Summit) and scroll to the bottom for more details.
  • There are still spaces available in the technical tours. See the technical tours page for more information (https://mountainite.org/2026_Mountain_District_Annual_Meeting_Technical_Tours)
  • If you are registered for the conference, you should have received an email at the end of last week with some welcome information about the conference and volunteer opportunities. Please keep an eye out for that email and let the LAC ([email protected]) know if you have any questions.
  • Consider joining the morning Run Club at the meeting! Find our more here: https://mountainite.org/2026_Mountain_District_Annual_Meeting_Run_Club
  • If you are a presenter, please keep your eyes peeled for emails from your session coordinator – they are collecting bios and presentations to be preloaded on laptops at the venue. If you have not heard from your coordinator or moderator, please let the LAC ([email protected]) know.
  • Bring layers! The forecast is looking warm during the day, but we all know conference centers can be chilly and it will be cooler at night at ~7,000 feet elevation, so be prepared with a sweater or light jacket

However you are participating in the meeting this year, whether volunteering, presenting, sponsoring, working an exhibit booth, or attending sessions, thank you for your involvement in the ITE Mountain District Community.

Safe Travels, and see you in Flagstaff!

-Lindsay Saner, 2026 ITE Mountain District President
