Hello Mountain District Members!
As we enter the final month of 2024, you should take pride in what the ITE Mountain District has accomplished, knowing that despite being a ‘young’ District, we have piloted many new ideas and initiatives that are being shared and adopted by others throughout the Institute, enhancing what it means to be a member of ITE and bringing recognition to our efforts. Speaking of recognition, none of this would have been possible without the hard work of a dedicated group of volunteers serving as Officers, Section Representatives and Committee Chairs over the past year and it has truly been an honor to have played a small part in this success while serving as your President. I specifically would like to thank those whose terms on the board will end this month: Past President Danielle Scharf (MT) and Section Representatives Jonathan Kruse (NM), Lisa Nguyen (CO/WY) and Scott Randall (MT).
At our final board meeting this month, we will be approving our 2025 budget, swearing in our 2025 Officers and Section Representatives, and planning our activities for 2025. We have much to look forward to in the new year, including another wonderful District Annual Meeting, which will be held in historic Santa Fe, New Mexico June 4-6 at the El Dorado Hotel. The call for abstracts is open and I encourage you to share and highlight the great work you are doing with your colleagues. Please take the opportunity to bring your family and explore all that this historical and picturesque area has to offer, not to mention the wonderful New Mexican cuisine, and I look forward to seeing you there!
