Assistant City Traffic Engineer
· Salary Range
$93,000 to $138,000
· Position Description
The purpose of this position is to complete advanced professional traffic engineering work requiring extensive knowledge of traffic control and traffic engineering principles. Acts as a point contact for Development review and projects. Acts as project manager for traffic-related CIP projects; manages staff, schedules, and consultants; researches information; works with outside agencies; schedules and assigns staff tasks; updates traffic networks; researches ordinance information; recommends changes; works with divisions and departments; investigates complaints; conducts field work; and represents the City and department in meetings and on committees.

· Applicant Requirements (level of education, relevant experience, etc.)
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, a closely-related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of five years related experience. Requires broad knowledge of complex systems and procedures.
- Licenses Or Certificates: Registered Professional Engineer required upon hire with preference to Arizona registration. PTOE preferred but not required. Valid AZ Drivers License upon hire.
