President's Update - December 2023

Mountain District Members and Friends,
As I write this message, I’m reflecting on the past year and can’t believe my term as Mountain District President is already coming to an end. It’s truly been an honor to serve the District and I’m proud of the many things we’ve accomplished this year. The Mountain District is fortunate to have a great team of Officers, Section Representatives and Committee Chairs that have all been a pleasure to work with over the last several years. A special thank you goes out to the following individuals who are nearing the end of their term on the Board:

Deanna Haase – Arizona Section Representative
Cody Luper – Idaho Section Representative
Anabel Hernandez – Nevada Section Representative
Kordel Braley – Utah Section Representative
We appreciate all your hard work and contributions to the Mountain District. Thank you for all you do for ITE!
One of our final tasks for 2023 will be to wrap up the draft 2024-2026 Strategic Plan for the Mountain District. We have a draft document that is currently under review by the Board and Committee Chairs, and we still plan to issue the final draft for review by the full membership prior to the end of the year. Other final tasks for the year include approval of our 2024 budget and swearing in our new Officers and Section Representatives at our December meeting.
As I conclude my final President’s message, I would like to put in one last plug for the 2024 Annual Meeting in Big Sky, Montana. I’m looking forward to welcoming you all to Montana next summer! If you haven’t already done so, please visit the annual meeting webpage and check back often because hotel information and the Call for Abstracts will be available soon!
