President's Update - August 2023

Mountain District Members and Friends,
I hope you all enjoyed our annual meeting in St. George! I would once again like to thank Lee Cabell and the rest of the LAC for planning such a great meeting. We had 219 registered attendees and 54 vendor attendees, for a total of 273 attendees overall. The LAC is still paying the final bills for the meeting, but it’s looking like they were able to make a small profit on the meeting. This is great news because it is always our goal to break even between income and expenses to provide the best annual meeting experience that we can, while keeping registration rates affordable. Lee and his team were very successful in achieving this overall goal!
Instructions to claim your PDH credits are currently available on the Annual Meeting website. These instructions will only be available on the website for a few more weeks, then we will begin sharing information about the 2024 Annual Meeting in Big Sky, Montana.
I am also excited to share the results of our recent officer elections. Our Tellers Committee met on 7/31/23 and reported back with the following results that have been approved by the Executive Board.
Mountain District President: David Lucas
Mountain District Vice President: Chris Sobie
Mountain District Secretary/Treasurer: Lindsay Saner
We thank Josh Saak for his willingness to run and although not elected to the Executive Committee this year, we look forward to his continued service to ITE at the Section and District levels!
We are all looking forward to great things to come under the 2024 Mountain District leadership. Please join me in congratulating our new leaders!
