Mountain District Members and Friends,
Happy New Year! As we start the new year, I am honored to begin my term as President of the Mountain District. I would like to begin by thanking Devin Moore for his outstanding leadership over this past year. I’ve learned a lot from Devin, and I know I have big shoes to fill, but I’m excited to carry our momentum forward into 2023.
With the new year, we would also like to thank several of our outgoing Mountain District Board members as their terms come to an end. A special thank you to Jim Barrera, Brian Staley and Dillon McLain for their service as Mountain District Section Representatives. Last but certainly not least, I would like to thank Karen Aspelin for her leadership and dedication to the Mountain District as our first International Director. Karen, we will miss having you on the board, but we wish you luck in your next chapter as you strive for International Vice President!
The Mountain District has many exciting things to come in 2023 including our second in-person annual meeting in St. George, Utah. Please be sure to visit the annual meeting webpage to submit an abstract before February 24, 2023 and book your hotel rooms soon if you haven’t already. The LAC is working hard to make it a great meeting and I look forward to seeing you all in St. George!
