Greg Martinez will be presenting on ADA Transition Plans.
GREG MARTINEZ BIO
Greg is a Senior Transportation ADA Designer out of HDR’s Denver office and has been with HDR since June of 2018. Greg is a Co-Lead in HDR’s National ADA Best Practice Group and active member of HDR’s National Complete Streets Group. Greg is a native of Colorado and his hometown is Denver. Greg graduated from Arvada High School in 1987 and went on to complete his AA in Business from Front Range Community College. Greg retired in 2016 from the U.S. Navy Seabees with 22 years of experience as a construction electrician including 2 combat deployments to Iraq. Greg retired from state service in 2018 with 25 years of service with his last 12 years being with the Colorado Department of Transportation as the statewide ADA Coordinator. Greg is a national expert and “go to” for the design, alteration, and construction of pedestrian facilities within the public right away and their requirements under the ADA and Public Right of Way Accessibility Guidelines. Greg keeps his ADA Coordinator certificate relevant out of the University of Missouri and the Great Plains ADA Center.
Greg and his wife Michelle have been married for 24 years and have a daughter and a son with one grandson. Greg is all about family time and working with his hands both in the home and the yard.
