Job Posting: Town of Superior - Public Works Director

The Town of Superior is seeking candidates for the position of Public Works and Utilities Director. This position plans, directs, supervises, and coordinates the operations and functions of streets and of the water, sewer, and reuse water utilities including water supply, treatment, storage, reuse water irrigating system, wastewater collection and treatment, and storm drainage systems of the Town of Superior.  This position also formulates long-range plans and makes daily operational decisions.  Works under the supervision of the Town Manager. 

Minimum requirements include graduation from  an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, public administration, management or a related field and six (6) years of increasingly responsible professional experience in engineering work and construction with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in both transportation and utilities, or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.  Graduate degree in civil engineering or public administration desired.  Professional engineering registration in Colorado desired.

Hiring range $111,668 - $139,424 with excellent benefits.  Accepting only online applications until 5 pm on May 22, 2022
