Become a member of our transportation team in Las Vegas, Nevada providing traffic engineering support and design on a wide variety of renewable energy projects across the United States.
Westwood Professional Services, Inc.'s ideal candidate will have 3+ years of diverse traffic engineering experience. Candidates must have a willingness to perform a variety of tasks supporting various project types and project managers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work as a key member of a project team under the direction of a Project Engineer/Manager primarily in support of renewable energy projects throughout the United States. Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Research and evaluation of data
• Conduct field reviews and other assessments
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations
• Assist with the creation and submission of technical reports, exhibits, and presentations
• Assist in the preparation of traffic engineering design plans using AutoDesk Civil3D
• Assist in the preparation of work zone traffic control plans
• Coordinate with internal team members, clients, government entities, and subconsultants
• Manage task assignments for budget and schedule adherence
Required Skills:
• Outgoing, friendly, approachable
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet project deadlines
• Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in AutoDesk Civil3D, Highway Capacity Software, Synchro/SimTraffic, and Microsoft Office applications
• Able to follow directions and guidelines for the firm’s policies, practices, and procedures
Required Experience:
• 3+ years of relevant traffic engineering experience
• BS in Civil Engineering
• EIT certification
