The Town of Castle Rock Public Works department provides outstanding service, safety and support for transportation infrastructure and maintenance. Would you like to be part of the team that oversees the operation and design of the Town’s traffic system within the Public Works department? The Town of Castle Rock has an outstanding opportunity for a Traffic Engineering Technician in our Public Works Department. Under general direction of the Traffic Operations Engineer, this position reviews and coordinates traffic control plans, manages information in the traffic crash database, performs traffic signal work, provides customer service, and maintains the school beacon program. Performs duties in a manner consistent with the shared values of the organization.
Generally an Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, supplemented by at least two years of closely related traffic engineering experience, or any equivalent combination. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
The following certifications are preferred: IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level 1, IMSA Signs & Pavement Markings Technician Level 1, ATSSA work zone training, ATSSA Flagger Certification, ATSSA Traffic Control Technician certification.
A valid Colorado Driver’s License is required, or ability to attain within 1 month.
Must satisfactorily complete a driving record check and criminal background check prior to commencing employment.
