Adyasha Mishra

Adyasha is a passionate engineer who as a kid was always amazed by the hi-tech infrastructure around her and wanted to be the brains behind it, hence she chose to be a civil engineer. Adyasha has been working in the corporate industry for 3 years after completing her Masters’ in Transportation Systems from ASU. She started working for a Traffic Control Device Company in Phoenix until she was hired by WSP in Denver and has been with them for almost 2 years now working as a Traffic Engineer. She believes in the motto ‘Learning never ends’ so she is currently pursuing her second masters’ degree in Project Management from Harrisburg University while working fulltime for WSP.

Adyasha was introduced to ITE when she was a student at ASU and she was elected as the Internal Liaison for the ASU ITE team. Now after moving to Denver, she wants to be a part of ITE again and contribute towards the ITE family.

Adyasha started her career working as a TCP (Traffic Control Plans) Designer and now works as a traffic design engineer. She was responsible for the MOT and detour plans for the billion-dollar C-70 renovation project where she assisted with signal design, temporary roadway design and coordination with other disciplines for closures, realignments etc. She also has a lot of experience in traffic analysis. She assisted the Texas team in evaluating five major intersections in Odessa district and assess the performance of the intersections in response to the high truck percentage in the area.

When she’s not designing roads, she’s designing on a canvas. She loves to paint and hopes to have her own art gallery someday but for now, her basement is her gallery. Apart from painting, she loves to travel. She has been to 44 states in the US in last 3 years after she started working, wants to make it a full 50 soon but Covid has been slowing her down. If not a civil engineer, she would be a travel vlogger or an event planner or an interior designer.

She is very excited and looks forward to being able to contribute to the ITE society by having the opportunity to serve as Secretary/Treasurer next year. The extremely talented team of board members are very driven professionals and that constantly motivates her. Her sociable personality will be an asset to the ITE team and help her grow into future roles on the ITE Board.

Thank you for your consideration!
