2022 Board Nomination Letter

ITE Arizona Section Voting Members,
I was asked to Chair the Nominations Committee to continue our tradition of exceptional officers for the Arizona Section. If you have ever served in that capacity, and I know lots of you have, it is a very rewarding experience. There are many opportunities to serve ITE, in addition to being an officer and we appreciate each and every volunteer.
The Board and Nominating Committee members (Past Presidents: John Kissinger, Alejandro Angel, and April Wire) searched for the very best candidates to run for office for the 2022 Business Year, coinciding with the calendar year.
Per the Arizona Section Bylaws, we offered an opportunity to take candidate nominations from the “floor.” The “floor” was substituted with submissions through “e-mail” with nominations received by August 7, 2021 at noon.
After confirming with the existing officers, and a thorough evaluation and discussion of the Treasurer and Section Representative candidates nominated, below are the 2021 AZ ITE Board slate of candidates:
Past President Yung Koprowski, Y2K Engineering
President Felipe Ladron de Guevara, Kittelson & Associates
Vice President Christopher Lemka, City of Peoria
Secretary Shane Gutknecht, Southwest Traffic Engineering
Treasurer Ellie Volosin, AECOM
Section Representative Deanna Haase, Kimley-Horn Associates

The Section will send each eligible voter a final ballot via email with instructions for voting by September 28, 2021. Thank you for your continued dedication to the best Section in ITE!
