PRESENTATION SUMMARY:

Seth will be making a presentation on American Association of State and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Transportation Asset Management (or TAM) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Grand Challenge within the context of some projects he has done for the Cities of Maricopa and Glendale.

WHAT IS TAM?

TAM is about developing a systematic plan to manage, maintain and operate assets in an adequate or better fashion.   ASCE’s Grand Challenge is about trying to find a way to close the gap between available funding and what is needed to improve and maintain our Country’s infrastructure.   The central focus of TAM is to enhance the performance and value of infrastructure projects over their life cycles.    Seth will provide information regarding how TAM and Grand Challenge can be considered and applied for a variety of traffic and roadway lighting related projects.
