Position Type: IT/IT Support Analyst

Salary: Grade 29 - Range $48,611 - $72,917
Principle Objective of Position
Assist in providing network and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) support to the Regional Community Network (RCN) and MAG member agencies. Additionally, this individual will support MAG IT staff with general operations, maintenance and helpdesk.
Principle Responsibilities
o Provide operations, maintenance and support to the RCN.
o Responsible for maintenance and enhancements of existing software and database solutions related to IT/ITS applications.
o Maintain and troubleshoot regional camera management systems.
o Troubleshoot and repair network communications for twisted-pair, fiber and wireless.
o Support MAG staff through helpdesk tickets.
o Support MAG meetings using audio/video and virtual platforms.
o Other tasks as required by the RCN Program Manager or Information Technology Director.
Requirements
Education:
o College degree in a related technical field or a high school diploma with experience in Information Technology and/or ITS.
Technology Skills:
o Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 10
o Proficiency in business productivity software including Microsoft Office
o Experience with networking equipment and protocols
o Experience or understanding of ITS equipment and communications
o Knowledge of fiber optics and equipment
o Ability to document and diagram technical processes
Other Desired Technology Skills (helpful, but not required):
o Experience with Geographic Information System applications such as ArcGIS
o Experience with video conferencing or remote meeting softwareo Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2019
o Knowledge of Linux operating systems
o Knowledge of command line software and remote configuration tools
o Knowledge of IP cameras and video management systems
Other Skills:
o Ability to communicate, in a professional and clear manner. Must be able to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
o Ability to identify technical issues and resolve those issues appropriately.
o Excellent organizational skills
o Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
o Ability to work cooperatively with a wide range of people of differing skill levels
o Self-motivated
Physical Demands:
o Ability to stand, walk, reach, or bend
o Ability to climb up/down, balance, or sit
o Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
