SAITE will be hosting a roundtable discussion on LED Street Lighting with industry experts.
MEET THE PRESENTERS:

Jessie Sanders - Consultant And Project Manager, City of Tucson Department of Transportation & Mobility
JESSIE SANDERS BIO: Jessie grew up in Tucson. His professional history includes the following; Public School Music Teacher, Computer Programmer at Hughes Aircraft Co, Senior Project Manager at Computer Sciences Corporation, I.T. Manager at City of Tucson, Deputy Director at City of Tucson’s Planning and Development Services, P.M. ERP conversion, retired in 2016 and then managed LED conversion for City Transportation as consultant. Jessie is now managing Small Cell Pole permitting for the City.

Christian Monrad, P.E., LEED AP - Project Manager, Monrad Engineering, Inc., Consulting Electrical Engineers
CHRISTIAN MONRAD BIO: Christian is a Tucson native and worked for an electrical contractor for six years prior to joining his father’s firm full-time in 1988. Fernando Galvez, his partner and President of Monrad Engineering, and Christian acquired the firm upon his father’s retirement in 2005. Given that their practice is focused within southern Arizona, Dark-Sky Friendly lighting is all that they do and this expertise has resulted in them acquiring numerous roadway and mine lighting conversion projects around the country over the last decade, as concerns over glare and spill control become more important everywhere.

Karim Rashid, P.E. - Systems Maintenance Engineer, ADOT, TSMO Division
KARIM RASHID BIO: Karim Rashid is a civil engineer who has been working with ADOT for 21 years in different capacities, mostly traffic engineering with emphasis on traffic signals and roadway lighting. He currently serves as the Systems Maintenance Engineer at TSMO Division.
