SAITE Monthly Meeting - April 16, 2021 at Noon MST

PRESENTATION SUMMARY: This month’s presentation will include a demonstration and discussion of the traffic solutions product known as MioVision.

MICHELLE MONTAGNINO BIO:  Michelle Montagnino has 21 years of experience in traffic engineering. A graduate of University of Wisconsin – Madison, she began her career with Kimley-Horn and Associates in Phoenix, AZ. There she focused on private sector traffic planning and design projects. In 2009 she moved to Pima County and spend a year working with Psomas on a variety of public and private transportation projects. For the past 10 years, she has been working as a civil engineer for Pima County Department of Transportation. When she started working at Pima County she was in the ITS and Traffic Signal Section. In this position she was in charge of signal timing changes, signal design review, and assisting with the day to day operations and management of the signal system. She is currently the Assistant Division Manager for the Maintenance and Operations division. In her current position, she continues to be involved in signal timing and signal coordination of county traffic signals.

GJ ANDERSON BIO: GJ Anderson holds degrees in Civil Engineering and Applied Mathematics from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA. He has worked for Oro Valley for 20 years and migrated to traffic signal operations early on. He has an IMSA Level III Certification as well as an EIT certification. In his spare time he is an avid motorcyclist, having ridden in places such as Iceland, Thailand, and Cambodia.

JOSEPH IOSUE BIO: Joseph Iosue is a Traffic signal Technician for The Town of Oro Valley’s Traffic Engineering Department. He is an accomplished diagnostics technician and previous Volkswagen Master Technician. He enjoys using his skills to contribute to maintaining and increasing efficiency of signals with The Town. Joseph graduated from Universal Technical Institute in 2008 with an Associates degree of Applied Sciences in Automotive Technologies. He is certified as a Traffic Signal Technician Level 1 with the IMSA and is looking to attain level 2 once classes have resumed. Some of his hobbies are building custom PCs, solving Rubik’s cubes, 3D printing, and 3D computer modeling and animation.
