Position: Transportation Demand Management Coordinator
Wage/Salary: $53,322-$67,732 /year depending on experience and qualifications
Work Week: Generally 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

POSITION SUMMARY:
In this essential role within the City’s Engineering/Public Works Division, you will plan, organize, and direct the Operations and activities of the City’s Transportation Demand Management program. You will create and maintain Community partnerships and programs to improve multi-modal transportation within the City consistent with the City’s transportation master plan. Reporting to the City’s Transportation Engineer, you will have direct input on Infrastructure development and design to improve multi-modal transportation with the intent of reducing single Occupant vehicle use. You will also track and compile program data and metrics to revise programing and Outcomes as well as report on program metrics and goals to the community.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, communication, planning, civil engineering, economics, or related field; and
• Considerable (2-4 years) experience in urban, transportation, or land use planning; or
• Any combination of experience and training which provides the equivalent scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work.

REQUIRED SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Valid Driver’s License (must obtain a valid Montana Driver’s License within 60 days of employment);

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Thorough knowledge of transportation demand management issues, concepts and practices;
• Thorough knowledge of outreach and marketing;
• Thorough knowledge of the methods used for citizen involvement in projects;
• Ability to deal with a wide range of persons, including situations in which individuals may be upset over some issues involved with City activities and policies;
• Ability to lead projects to successful completion;
