Senior Transportation Planner

 (Full-Time)

SALARY: $70,832 to $88,540.75 (D.O.E.) 

DESCRIPTION:  The Park City Vision 2020 established the vision of Multi-Modal Transportation Solutions. This position will be critical in Park City’s efforts to implement a truly multi-modal transportation system. Under the direction of the Transportation Planning Manager, the Senior Transportation Planner provides expertise, project management, and professional level analysis in compiling, planning, and analyzing complex pedestrian, bicycle, transit, and traffic solutions.  Develops recommendations and professional level reports, is involved in critical transportation projects develops planning documents, and delivers presentations.  This position assists with planning capital and implementation projects, delivers transportation demand management solutions, and programs that contribute to roadway designs, and develops active transportation and traffic calming projects as well as long- and short-range transportation plans. 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: 

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University in transportation planning, urban planning, engineering, or a related field. 
• 5 years of experience in transportation planningengineering, and/or urban planning or related field.
• Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office
• And/or equivalent combination of education and experience*

Preferred:

• Public sector experience.
• Demonstrated project management experience. 
• Master’s Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university. 
• Skills in ArcGIS and/or Adobe Suite or related planning software

*Years of experience may be substituted for formal education, and additional education may be substituted for years of experience. *   Interested applicants without the experience or education are encouraged to apply as the position may be filled as a Transportation Planner with promotion options.
