Mountain District Meeting 2022

Registration for the ITE 2022 Mountain District Annual Meeting in Boise, Idaho is OPEN!.  It will be held June 8th – 10th at the Riverside Hotel and Convention Center in Garden City, Idaho.  Located on the Boise River and next to Boise’s famed Greenbelt pathway, the hotel is ideally situated in a thriving neighborhood and only two miles from historic Downtown Boise.  The Local Arrangement Committee (LAC) is working hard on a stellar meeting; highlights include the following:

  • Extra half day class on Wednesday afternoon (at an additional nominal fee) taught by Brooke Struve at FHWA on ADA design, with a combination of classroom and field time;
  • Technical sessions and presentations from around the District;
  • Vendor social and meet and greet on Wednesday evening;
  • Thursday night dinner on Boise’s Basque Block;
  • And much, much more!

The conference hotel is offering single/double and suites at $158/night.  The hotel will offer this rate starting on Tuesday, June 7th through Saturday, June 11th.  Stay for the conference and extend your vacation to enjoy all Boise has to offer!  To lock this rate in, call the hotel at 208-343-1871 and tell them you are part of the ITE Mountain District conference.

The conference website and registration page can be found here (more information about the meeting to be added in the coming weeks):

The LAC technical committee is still accepting abstracts on relevant transportation engineering subjects for consideration as a presenter in the technical program. Our meeting will feature individual presentations, panel discussions, and technical tours.

We are also accepting 15-minute TED-talk style talks. These are talks that are largely delivered without a Q/A and do a quick, but deep, dive into a subject of the presenter’s choosing.  A strict time limit will be placed on these talks.

Please fill out and submit the Google Form at the following link to be considered for presentation: https://forms.gle/cHxSmiYn7SZbZX4j9

Abstracts are due February 25, 2022.  Contact information for any questions related to presenting can be found on the form.

As a District Board, we have elected to give you back your dues from 2021 in the form of a discount on the Annual Meeting (since we were able to save a large portion of our operating budget limiting travel due to restrictions).

To claim this $32.50 (10% off your registration), please use the Discount Code: “DUES10” when registering for the Boise meeting. Act now, because the coupon code will not be active after early registration ends.

We look forward to seeing everyone later this spring for the Mountain District’s FIRST solo, in person, annual meeting!
